Satoru Gojo’s passing in Jujutsu Kaisen sparked a significant uproar a few weeks ago. The conventional “bad boy” character, who was once one of the series’ strongest, was abruptly written out in Chapter 236. Angry readers threatened the manga artist Gege Akutami with death, and they are now making every effort to respect the late figure.
Do Gege Akutami and Gojo Satoru hate Kashimo equally?
Akutami made the contentious choice to kill Gojo. He had already made it obvious that he didn’t appreciate the character’s god-complex. The strongest sorcerer was ultimately killed in the most ridiculous way: Sukuna’s “Dismantle” technique split his body in half, and the villain’s words, “I won’t forget you as long as I live,” virtually confirmed his demise.
Despite calling for Gojo’s return, JJK followers have also devised a bizarre way to honor the fictional character’s “limitless” and “space-distorting” abilities.
Supporters of Jujutsu Kaisen purchased and named a star Satoru Gojo.
On September 24, 2023, Chapter 236 was published. Fans flocked to pay respects after Satoru Gojo passed away suddenly; however Jujutsu Kaisen hasn’t formally confirmed this. One Reddit user asserted that a fan purchased a star and gave it the character’s name. A registration number was also visible in the photo, and the registration date was September 21.
Yet in reality, Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen doesn’t have a star named after him. The image shown above is from a mobile program named “Night Sky Guide: Planetarium.” The program allows users to name celestial bodies and even explore space. The registration date of September 21—which occurred before Chapter 236 was published—further supports the notion that the data is false.
It would have sparked intense disputes both in the anime community and among astronomy experts had NASA formally registered a star with the name Gojo Satoru. The Jujutsu Kaisen’s efforts were commendable. Yet, the fan is appreciated. 14 days after Gojo’s character was written out, JJK Fans’ willingness to believe a report at its value demonstrates how devoted they still are to him.
What Motivates Gege Akutami to Create Some of the Most Well Thought Out Characters in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Why Is Satoru Gojo So Popular?
Gojo is a favorite of Jujutsu Kaisen viewers thanks to a unique combination of “god-like” abilities and a funny demeanor. The self-made strongest person in the world serves as a coach for pupils at Tokyo Jujutsu High and imparts his knowledge to figures like Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori.
Some of his admirers feel that his arrogant teaching style is a strategy for preparing his students for upcoming psychological and physical difficulties.
Gojo is not only a natural trainer but also the only JJK character to have both the Limitless and Six Eyes abilities at the same time. His demise at the hands of Sukuna was a tough pill to chew because he was now levels ahead of every other character.
Limitless gave Satoru Gojo the ability to bend and change space as he pleased, giving him teleportation abilities that were reinforced by potent defensive force field abilities.
The Six Eyes, meanwhile, is a unique skill that is passed down only to a select few Gojo clan members. It serves as a passive power that makes the character more distinctive than ever and powers the “Limitless” technique. Satoru Gojo, according to Jujutsu Kaisen, is the only individual in 100 years to possess the Unlimited and Six Eyes talents in addition to other sorcerer abilities.
