According to public records obtained by NewsOnnline, the singer filed a divorce petition in Florida’s Miami Dade County on a Tuesday, citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” as the reason for dissolution.
NewsOnnline has reached out to representatives of both Jonas and Turner for their comments on the matter.
The couple shares two daughters born in 2020 and 2022, and Joe Jonas is seeking shared custody. Their divorce proceedings are governed by a prenuptial agreement, as indicated in the filing.

Their romantic journey began in 2016, culminating in an engagement in 2017, with Jonas publicly celebrating the moment by posting a photo of Turner wearing her new engagement ring on his verified Instagram page, captioned with “she said yes.”
The couple went on to have two weddings together. The first one took place in 2019 in Las Vegas following their attendance at the Billboard Music Awards. They exchanged vows in the presence of a small gathering of family and friends during a ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator. The news of their wedding first surfaced when DJ Diplo, a wedding guest, shared photos and videos from inside the venue. A representative for Turner later confirmed to NewsOnnline that the couple had indeed tied the knot.

Later, the “Game of Thrones” star and Jonas celebrated their union once more in an extravagant ceremony held at the stunning Château de Tourreau in the south of France, as reported by Elle magazine. Turner provided a glimpse into their wedding by sharing a black and white photo of the couple during their recessional on her Instagram page, captioned “Mr and Mrs Jonas.”
Maise Williams, Turner’s co-star from “Thrones,” reportedly served as her Maid of Honor, while Jonas’s brothers and bandmates, Nick and Kevin, were also in attendance at the lavish French celebration.
