After wrapping up the publicity run for his upcoming Disney+ docuseries "Limitless," Chris Hemsworth is taking "time off" from acting.

The series' last episode, which deals with mortality and death, was filmed, and the 39-year-old actor told Vanity Fair

He decided to take a sabbatical from acting to spend more time with his family

With his 46-year-old wife Elsa Pataky, the "Thor" star has three children: sons Tristan and Sasha, 8, and daughter India, 10.

He added that filming an episode about death and acknowledging his own mortality caused him to think, "Oh God, I'm not ready to go yet."

He went on, "I want to sit here and experience this environment with more serenity and gratitude

Oh my God, they're getting older, they're growing up, and I keep piling another movie on top of another movie, you say as you begin to talk about your family and children

They go out of the house when they're 18 and I missed the window before you realise it."

The native of Australia added, "It definitely made me want to take a break and set off some internal triggers.
